Problem Note 60304: PROC DS2 and PROC FREQ return errors when the Oracle user ID contains a square bracket ([ ])

When connecting to Oracle, you might need to use the Oracle proxy user. This user ID might contain a square bracket ([ ]). When you connect to Oracle with a user ID that contains a square bracket and then run PROC DS2 code, you might see an error similar to the following:
ERROR: Expected list item separator.ERROR: Parsing failed at or near column 44: Columns 28-59 = "ER=ORACLE;UID=""xxxx["";PWD=xxxx"
You might also encounter an error similar to the following when you use an Oracle user ID that contains a square bracket with the FREQ procedure.
ERROR: Error during in-database processing.
ERROR: General error ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
